Melissa Manchester wasn't a big star when she played Auburn in the spring of 1976, but she was on her way.
She earned four encores that night at the free concert and is remembered here as one of the finest concerts the town has ever seen (which is saying something, really). In the upcoming years she'd win a Grammy and a few Academy nominations.
She couldn't wear that outfit today -- and you'll also note the percussionist with the tank top in the background.
Manchester has been in music for four decades, still sounds great and has lately returned to the theatre.
Incidentally, that's the section of the Glomerata that's coming up next.
