Ah, the Old South parade, once again. This was an annual thing at Auburn for many years, sponsored by the Kappa Alpha fraternity. It ended in the early 1990s, I believe, so I just missed it.

Not that I'm upset about that.

College students dressing up as antebelleum soldiers and plantation wives doesn't change so much, so far as it goes, except for the modern hairstyles mushed underneath the hats.

And so here is as good a place as any to promise that I'll not become too fixated on hairstyles and bell bottoms.

Three people on that one horse though? Must have been a tough time for the Old South parade. Also, I doubt that guy's wrist watch was standard issue for 19th Century soldiers.
