"One day, I'm going to learn to not stare directly into the garden hose while it is spraying."
"One day."
But not this day. The next photograph in this series is of a very stunned boy trying to keep his eyes inside his head after taking a direct hit from a high pressure nozzle. Curiosity is dangerous and funny.
The child would be just fine.
Have you ever really studied the black and white photographs that float in and out of your life? They're a wealth of information, a peak into the past, educational, comical, downright embarrassing.
That's what this section of the site is, a study of historic and incidental black and white photographs that I pick up from antique stores, private collections and all the other storage boxes of our memories that make up the here and there.
We'll try to figure out the context and, when necessary, take jabs at our elders.
