
Kenny is a professor, student media adviser and director of the digital video center at Samford University where he works with students developing cross-platform journalism skills.
Kenny is also pursuing a doctorate in communication and information sciences from the University of Alabama.
With journalism experience in print, broadcast and online, Kenny has received Associated Press awards in several media markets and contributed to newsrooms collectively earning StateNets News and Pacemaker awards. Over the years his byline has been in many of the newspapers around Alabama. He's been heard delivering breaking news and analysis on news/talk stations in many of the nation's top radio markets and over national networks.
He holds a bachelor's degree from Auburn University and a master's degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. In his free time Kenny reads history and memoirs, takes lots of photographs, collects things to publish here and writes bios in the third person.
